Synopsis:
A highly-sensitive case, clouded in dark secrets, has the "Josai" branch of the Tokyo Prosecutor's Office vexed and bewildered. Kuryu and his ragtag team of attorneys must pull themselves together and litigate... as if their lives depended on it.
After serving brief legal stints in Okinawa, Hokkaido, and Yamaguchi, Kuryu is finally back in the Tokyo Prosecutor’s Office “Josai” Branch. Kuryu finds himself prosecuting what seems to be an open-and-shut case of manslaughter. The defendant, who has fully admitted his guilt in the crime, suddenly pleads innocence the moment the trial begins. An uproar ensues as the case begins to twist and turn, hinting a something far bigger and sinister beneath the surface, and exposing Kuryu and his tem to dangers he’s never before experienced.
Kuryu and colleague, Amermiya, are going to have to put their careers and their relationship at risk to get at the truth.
